Santa had a wicked sense of humor this year and delivered a complete set of marshmallow shooters on Christmas morning. DH got an arrow, DGD got a pink shooter gun, and the rest of the family received marshmallow slingshots.
Santa's elves provided each family member with their own color of marshmallows (using colored & white marshmallows) that had been dried just a little over-night to prevent gooey jams.
Here are the results:
The arrow is slow loading but, once loaded, is most powerful. It apparently has more power delivered to the shot than the gun and the aim is not difficult.
The is slightly easier to load (quicker to snap into place than the arrow) but the barrel was a little restrictive and DGD had more jams then the arrow. (Not gooey jams but just too big of ammo for the gun.)
The slingshots were fast loading, easy to aim, and provided instant satisfaction, especially while the arrow & guns were loading.
The clear winners, however, were DGS's (ages 1 & 2) who loved all of the sugar pellets.
I'm guessing I will be finding dried marshmallows around the house for several weeks!
