We had this same skipper last week, but someone must have said something to him about the "just kidding" and "get it?" because he wasn't doing it last week, although my DS9 did say he was giggling alot.

He also asked DS9 to be the guest skipper as we went through the Shir-Lee Temple, that made DS's day because he thought he really steered us through that temple.
YAY!!!! You got Pooh! Did you catch his name?
What a LUCKY kid to be guest skipper! I'm bummed he didnt say "get it" and "just kidding"... not at all??? He was pretty good other than that!

Are you sure Norah was sleeping? Or maybe she was actually passed out - can you send me the recipe for zebra domes, I could serve them at my daughter's next slumber party or serve them to my husband on date night, then when he crashes I could get more DIS time :stir:

And Disneyland Mama, you did not "feel" anything because of your "cocktails to go"! :rotfl2:

What a great present from TM!!!
Yes, thankfully she was asleep! I think that's why she cries at restaurants because she doesn't really sleep much other than cat-naps here and there.
I'm thinking they did the trick!

Wow. Twinkie really did that for you? How thoughtful. Of course, I was also very impressed by the attempted Utah Family Taffy Give Away too. Even if you couldn't find anyone to give it to and had to eat it all by yourselves. It was a nice thought. We hated Boma. Mostly because our taste buds have been beaten down by American food posing as authentic. Like Taco Bell and Pizza Hut. Thus, we simply cannot enjoy authentic ethnic food. Oh well, I will live without eating at Boma's.

HEY B!!!!

Twinkie is awesome!!! The taffy was much. much better when it was fresh!
We loved our little gifts to ourselves, everyday!!!

Ohhhh! Look at him! How cute!

Thank You for posting your little one's tantrum! Poor little guy! Did he scream athrought the whole ride? Or did he end up liking the ride?

You GET to go to work?! Lucky Duck!

Thank you for sharing!!!!!

THE UtahMama answered me

The first time we went to DL we rode Buzz 9 times. We were there only 2 days. I love the camera trick. I don't do it often but it works. I think all it took was 2 quick shots and the wailing stopped.

Can't wait to read the next installment popcorn::

Great description of the ever popular sport of "hopping a bus" with multiple small children. My favorite is when three of my four fall asleep standing in line waiting for the bust so we juggle as described above only I have 2 kids more lofted over my shoulders than snuggled into my arms while DH has one kid and the stroller (which he can open and close with one hand.... mad skittles he has)

So much to say here: but mainly you are welcome! I had so much fun putting it together and thought of you through my whole trip! You are such a treasure... both as a writer and a mom and a friend. My life is richer because of you.
Sidenote: I told her NOT to actually use the hairbow to sneak Norah onto rides... just that it would work.... ya know, just for informational purposes.

You see why my panties were in a wad over the lateness of the package? She had mentioned how she wanted a notebook for her pretend food critic/theme park critic activities. So in typical geek fashion I put together a "trip reporter kit".... even maps for everywhere so I was hoping she would get it when she checked in. Note to self: priority mail isn't much of a priority. But during my long wait I did get to meet some nice people at the Port Orleans Riverside front desk. :wave2: Hi guys! I miss talking to you every shift change!

We play with our Potato heads everyday! It's cleaned up everyday and strewn all over the floor, everyday...but it was money well spent!

My DH KNEW you'd be freaking out over this lateness. I betcha POR had it but didnt bother looking THAT hard when you called. They seem short staffed!

OUR stroller does not open and close with the flip of a magic switch or button. It's a two hand job with the occasional foot involved! STILL BETTER THAN RENTING!

OH! I came up with a use for potato head parts! Stick the parts into little punkins..(which are baby pumpkins)...instant jack o lanterns!

Great installment, UM! I was afraid the fam would be completely freaked out by the weird food at Boma but sounds like I was wrong. We'll book it next trip and tell them a well-read food critic highly recommends it! BTW,wish I'd had that tip about photographing the screaming baby about.......17 years ago! ;)
Love Boma! I loved being a food "taster and teller"!

File the taking a picture of the tantrum trick for any future grandchildren you may have!

I love waking up to the smell of a fresh TR! Love the pic of Norah - her lips look just fine here.

Go TM! That was really sweet of you. :thumbsup2

Now that you've got us all hanging off the cliff -- get back to writing!! popcorn::
Me TOO!
Her lips were fine here...we didnt go to concourse steakhouse till much later in the week.

The next installment is painful to re-live...the 1st part anyway...

I see you have taken the advice I gave to you last night to heart. :rotfl: If you didn't see it, look at the post I left for you right after you told me good luck with cards.

I was wrong. In addition to great writing, this is the sort of thing that makes people keep coming back.

Am I really first???? WOW!

I just wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying reading your trippie. I have a little two year old as well and I can just imagine her doing the things that Norah is doing! We'll find out in January just how well she does.

Thanks for the entertainment while waiting for the premiere of Lost to start!
EEEk, You were first to post and I nearly forgot you!!!
You are so sweet! Thank you!!!!
I hope your's is better in January! Norah is mostly good. The naughty is better to share!

No wonder we were all such happy campers at Boma!!!

Have been lurking and loving your trippy (and hearing about your super duper tiara fest at the GF). Thanks for sharing it with us. :sunny:
Yayyyyy! Thanks for coming out of lurkdom for my TR!!!
Sorry I almost forgot you!

I wish my DH would say "I was wrong" and not force me to prance around singing "I told you so, I told you so" AND give compliments!

Oh wow I love that avocado/grapefruit salad, it's my favourite thing at BOMA, in fact I just carry my chair over to the buffet and park it right infront of that bowl.

Funny how everyone has different tastes (ie) I don't like zebra domes

Can't wait hear about hubby's meltdown, I hope you gave him a time out!
Cass - I'm with you! Loved the salad, hated the zebra domes. All of the salad was soooo good. So was the yaki? I don't think that's really what it is, but Sheri's post about yak butt threw me off. The sweet potato like substance. And the tomatoes with corn meal mush? Sounds gross, but I liked it.
The hummus was good too. Except for the olive hummus. too strong.
Boma was really good!

No, sorry, I didn't catch his name, but I really do think that someone must have said something to him because there was not one "get it" or "just kidding".

One of DS20's friends is working part-time on the JC while he goes to college, maybe I can see if he can get me a bootlegged copy of the script ;)

You know DS9 and I just came up with this idea too, we spend the other day inside (and I mean inside) his toybox finding all of the potato head parts so that we can make little pumpkin heads.

Wow what a great package from TM. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of the reciept filer. I told my DH about that (and put it on my tips and ideas list *already 2 pages long*) and he thought it was brilliant. The other times we went it was just the two of us and we had piles of recipets and papers on the table, soooo not gonna be able to happen with little munchkins.

and as always, U-Mama ROCKS!!!!!! :rockband:
I love you U-Mama!!!!! :worship:

U/M:

Well, here I sit the night before we leave. I am wondering how we will ever have as much fun as you and your family seem to when you go. I amd kinda jealous actually. Unfortunately, you will never know whether or not we did because I am not nearly as good of a story teller as you. Even if I was motivated to tell our stories.

Seriously, I am not getting any work done between you two mama's (twinkie and Utah)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
