Our Backyard "ReDo"

Our backyard landscaping was nice even up until last summer. This winter and the spring rains totally destroyed the pressure treated timber steps that go to the pool area from the patio and then further down to the lower back yard. This is what it looked like this spring before we had it fixed. I am so glad to get rid of the junipers which required weeding in between throughout the summer despite buckets of Preen. I won't miss the burning bush or the barberry either.

Now here is the new and improved.

We had to hire it. It was a huge job and required a backhoe. The blocks for the retaining wall weigh 100 pounds. The steps 400 pounds. They used a bucket loader to put them in place. It took 4 guys working 8 hours a day, a full week to complete it. It would have taken us that long just to rip out the overgrown shrubs.

These are my favorite kind of threads I love it, it looks so great. They did a wonderful job. And yes I will be over for a swim...lol !

I am growing tomatoes and cilantro so you know what that means! Homemade SALSA!! Bring the chips and I make the mojitos! (I am growing mint for that too)
