We booked our first DCL cruise a few months ago so any seasoned cruisers feel free to offer any words of wisdom, please! We are taking a 5 night cruise to the Bahamas on the Dream next August. Anything we must do?? Excursions that you've been on that you're glad you tried? What about on the boat....was there something or somewhere not to miss?

I just booked the return portion of our trip this morning....3 nights at AKV Jambo on the club level :cloud9:. Now I just have to wait until January to book the first 2 nights before the cruise - hopefully at BCV :beach:

Now that we're within our "normal" 11 month planning stage I'm getting excited :goodvibes.

We are taking our family on the Dream summer 2012 too!:thumbsup2

In January, we did the parasailing at Castaway Cay and really enjoyed it. Fellow cruisers said the jet ski tour was fun there as well.

If you want better food, make sure to try a signature dining restaurant!

Bring your pirate costumes so you don't look like a newbie! We watched the Pirate Party from the upper deck and had a great view of all the action, and Mickey appeared right next to us for his final appearance before the fireworks!

Have fun!:cool1:

Are the activities on Castaway Cay considered part of the cruise or do you have to pay extra for them? I know the excursions in the other ports cost $$ but since Disney owns the island - didn't know if they're inclusive.

The activities/excursions on CC are not operated by Disney and do cost $$. They use nearby local companies that service the island for Disney guests.
