Day 2-Sunday June 1st

Ok today is Epcot and we had a 7 am wake up call. Everybody was up and ready fairly quickly so we decided to head to the food court for breakfast. We of course ordered way too much food that the kids didn't eat. Mental note: the kids will not eat a big breakfast before heading to the parks....next time poptarts or cereal to start us off.

We caught the bus from Old Port Royale and were at Epcot by 8:30am. We quickly exchanged our vouchers for tickets, got thru the turnstiles and saw the opening show with the characters(a 5 min thing while you wait for the rope drop).

First Stop Test Track. We have never done this before due to either long lines or breakdowns, this time we were determined. Neither child wanted to ride and we discovered that in order to kidswap, the CM gives Mom a "child swap" ticket similar to a fast pass. After Dad rides, mom goes thru the FP line to get on. Well, Billy was right not to ride, this ride would sum up every one of his fears and he would have hated it. Amanda however would have loved it but she still insisted she didn't want to ride. Oh well, mom and dad enjoyed it immensely. Dad took the kids thru the line and into the preshow because he thought they would enjoy the theming and he was right.

Next stop...one of the Innoventions areas. I hate this part of Epcot but I am outvoted as the rest of the family just adores it. They play and wander and I selflessly follow along. Next stop...Imagination. We do the figment ride and the Honey I shrunk the audience and everybody has fun. We play in the area where you exit and send wacky pictures home to ourselves by email.

Next stop the The Land. We decided to eat in the food court which we haven't done in years either...don't think the kids have ever been there. Dad gets a great salad(Chicken Ceasar) and Billy gets an uncrustables PB& J. Mom and Amanda go off to a different vendor and mom gets chicken parmesan....I don't remember what Amanda got but she like it whatever it was. Amanda wanted to wait to get a chance to be a "chef" and bake cookies. I tell her we will do that at home and it's off to Universe of Energy. We all love this one. Well, while we're in the pre-show, Billy has to use the potty "right now". So off go Dad & Billy. I'm flipping out 'cause they're not gonna get back in and this is a long show. Oh well, we enjoy the attraction and they're waiting at the exit. Billy and Dad now want to ride it so Amanda and I head off to Wonders of Life. We do a quick ride on Body Wars and and play around with the various displays while waiting. Amanda proclaims Body Wars "boring". I thought it was pretty good but I'm not a real fan of the shaking simulator type rides.

Next it's off to the other Innoventions area where Billy plays toon tag and Amanda makes paper and participates in some trivia.

Next stop.....our hotel. We have 7:15pm reservations for Hoop De Doo and we want to swim a bit and rest so back to CBR we go. We decide we'll have to start with World Showcase next time as the kids really love the kidcot stations and we're feeling guilty we didn't even see one country this trip. There's always next time!

Back at CBR, Dad showers and rests, Mom & kids swim and then it's time to head out.

We decide to drive to Ft Wilderness and after the show is over we are very glad that we did and feel sorry for all the poor souls waiting for resort buses. We locate Ft Wilderness easily and grab a bus back to Pioneer Hall. We check in and have our photo taken. We are about 1/2 an hour early so the kids check out the petting zoo.

Finally it's to go in and we are in the back of the hall but our table is a tall table with tall chairs and we can see just fine. Billy doesn't like the chicken and ribs so he is served mac & cheese which he loves. Amanda & I chow down on the chicken, beans, and corn. Dad eats all of the above plus the ribs which he proclaims to be "great". We really liked the show. Amanda loves any kind of singing and dancing and Billy and Dad love the corny humor. Mom likes the show and loves to see the family having fun so it's a hit all the way around.

On our way out, I break out the glow sticks I have purchased at Wal-Mart and the kids are soooo thrilled. They play with the glow sticks and we make our way back to CBR.

It's been a long day and everybody crashes immediately.

Tomorrow......Disney Quest
