Our amazing 7-night eastern cruise - 9/26/09

Just had a great time reading your trip report.

I would love to take a Disney Cruise (been on 10 cruises as a child/college with my parents but the last was in '91) and the eastern is the one I would choose. I love St. Thomas. I almost have my DH convinced It was wonderful hearing about all of your fun.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks so much for reading!! The Eastern itinerary was definitely a blast. Hopefully your DH gets convinced that you guys should go! Good luck!!! :rotfl:

any more pics of you on the jet ski?? The water is Sooooooooo beautiful, we are doing our first cruise this september and we will most definitely be doing the wave runners if we can, how many do they have? and if you dont mind what did it cost? we have 5 in our family for this one. Oldest is meeting us at AKL after our cruise...I also LOVE you character scrap books...:thumbsup2

Thanks so much for reading. :goodvibes Here are a couple more pictures we took from the jetskis. There really wasn't that much variation because we were out on open water, but it was, indeed, beautiful!

As to the cost, I think that we paid about $160 for a double, and, if I recall correctly, I think there were slots for about 20 people (and they do offer later times in the day to do the excursion as well). You should definitely go for it - - it's an amazing adventure! :thumbsup2

Ohohhhhhh, you sneak! You said you were done and than you add pictures? ;)

The jetski price should be publiced on the DCL-website under the different possible excursions on CC. Or at least, it still was a couple of months ago. Just check out the regular info about CC and excursions through that. They state prices there before you can see them (or book) through the 'my reservation' part of the website.

I have never done this adventure and am curious about just how rough the ride can be. Can you compare the jostling to that of a roller coaster? A Disney ride? I have an old back injury and am concerned about aggravating it further. Thanks!

Mal, the jetski when we were on open water was pretty rough (but DH was making it a point of hitting as many waves as he could - LOL). If you've been on Space Mountain pre-refurb, that might compare a little bit with the jostling; also, if you've been on a boat when someone has opened it up and is crossing the wakes, that's another good comparision. There were times that we would hit a wave and did come down pretty hard, almost enough to take our breath away (but, again, DH was making a point to do hit the waves). I hope that helps explain a bit!! :goodvibes
