My wife and I are leading our family to a week's stay at the Villas of AKL (Jambo House, savanah view). Even tho this is one of our home resorts, we have never been there. There will be nine of us [wife and I, daughter, son and girl friend, and, from Florida, our other daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons (ages 4 and 2)]. When I called, I had my list ready and then had to wait nearly an hour before I finally got on. Fortunately, the castmember (Roberta from Long Island, NY) was very friendly and extremely helpful despite being a Yankee fan.
We will be going to the Coral Reef for lunch (11:50) and the Crystal Palace for an early breakfast (8:25). Once I got those out of the way, I first asked for Boma for dinner on the day we arrive. Unfortunately, it was not available tho I was able to get it for a few days later (5:15). Roberta then suggested Ohana at the Poly and since I have never been there, I leaped at the opportunity. It was available for dinner (5:15).
Then I went after my favorite restaurants---Teppan Edo and Les Chefs de France. Fortunately both were available (4:50 and 5:40 respectively).
Of course, we are eating early because of the grandsons. This will give the others a chance to go out (clubbing, park hopping, maybe a dinner w/o the kids) while my wife and I babysit.
Therefore, on the night before we leave, I made a rezzie at Ragland Road for them (7:00).
I have been to some of these restaurants and they are beyond wonderful. However, I have never been to the Crystal Palace, Boma, or Ohana. Can anyone give me their opinions of those three?
Another question I have is: Roberta mentioned that, being a party of nine, we will probably have to sit at two separate tables. I can understand that, but will the tables be close together? Has anyone had this problem?
