My DW, two DD's, DS & MIL flew in from Boston on Sunday.
We checked into the Swan and received two connecting rooms, just as requested. We unpacked & relaxed for a bit and then headed over to MGM (a short water shuttle ride away) for 6:40 PM PS at the Brown Derby (Fantasmic Dinner Package). The food & service were great and not waiting in line to see the show afterwards was a big plus. I really don't think there's a bad seat in the house, so not having to wait is great.

On Monday, we were off to MK. We had a late lunch at the Plaze Rest. @2:00 PM. Great food and super shakes!. At @4:00 PM we headed back to the Swan for a little rest, before going over to Epcot (WS) at @6:00 PM. We walked right into the Mexico & Norway rides and just enjoyed strolling around, until it was time for Illuminations. Then it was back to the Dolphin & Tubbi's rest. for a late snack (not bad & open 24hrs!).

Tue., we hit MGM and the 50's cafe for lunck. I love that place. My oldest DD did not finish her green beans and had to stand in the corner! My older two loved the Tower of Terror and the RockinRollerCoaster. Who Wants To Be A Millionare was great fun. We went back to the Swan for a few hours before going back to MK (e-ticket night). Even if you don't want to do any of the rides, it just nice walking around MK with a smaller crowd.

Wed., we went USF :( My kids wanted to see. It wasn't that bad, but I would not go back - once is enough, compared to Disney which I can never get enough of. If you do go to USF, buy the Express Pass book. It cost $15 per person (in addition to you reg. ticket) but it worth every penney. You get a Express PAss to every ride with no time restrictions!

Thu., we visited AK. This park was much better than I expected. I love the Dinosaur ride, the raft ride, the Safari & It's Hard To Be A Bug. As a suggestion, when you get to the Park, send someone ahead to get a Fastpass for the Safari and do Dinoland section of the Park 1st. It is virtually empty, as everyone is lining up to go the Safari. We rode the Dino ride, the rollercoaster ride (sorry, I forgot the name) and the raft ride twice before our Fastpass time had come. Lunch was at Tuskers, which was great!
Thu. night we went to see Circus du Soleil. It's expensive, but if you can swing it, go see it!. We had supper before the show at Portobello's. It was ok. Maybe, I'm spoiled, as we have lots of good Italian places to eat in the Boston area, but I would not go back. The service was excellent, but for the $$$, I'd try somewhere else

Friday, we spent at the pool in the morning at the Swan, and then headed over to Epcot. It rained off and on most of the day, but your in Disney so you cares! :)

Sat., we had breakfast at CRT. If you can get a PS for it, GO!!!.
Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Mary Poppins were all there and made it point to visit every table. The rest of day was spent at MK. Supper was at Whisper Canyon Cafe at WL.
This is a very fun place. My youngest DD asked for ketchup and the waiter promptly had @20 people bring her bottles. If you want a fun dinner, then this is the place. Plus the WL is one of the prettiest hotels I've seen.

Sun. was checkout :( We had a 3:00 PM flight. We went to the Gospel Brunch at the HOB. It was nice, but not worth the money.
After that, some last minute shopping and off to the airport.

Sorry for going on, but I've got the post-vacation blues and this was like therapy. We don't get to Disney much, but we're gonna try for 2005!

Sounds like the whole group had a great time - thanks for posting!

recommend coming into Disney chat and helping the others that are going to disney soon.....we would love to have you........you had a great time.....and the Swan and Dolphin are great for location......I could just sit and veg looking out the windows or staying at the pools.......I too loved AK.....dinosaur ride is always a blast no matter how many times you do it........thanks again for your great report

Hi - great trip report - you sure packed alot in.

Was there one more princess at CRT - you mentioned 4 - usually there is 5.. (maybe Belle?)

Funny how some people love universal and some people can take it or leave it - did you go to Islands of Adventure too?

BTW - the best therapy for Post Disney Blues is to start planning a new trip - so pick a date - start a countdown timer and dream away. :)

>>^..^<<

Belle was also at CRT. I don't know how I forgot her! As for IOA, no, we didn't go there. I've heard some good things about it, but since only one in my group is a real fan of fast/rollercoaster rides, we decided not try it. (Also, we only wanted to be away from WDW for one day). Again, I can't say that USF was bad. I'm glad we tried it, but I really don't think I'd go again, unless I was on vacation for 2 weeks :) - I guess it just a persoanl thing. I have a friend who absolutely loves Universal.

Thanks for the advice on dealing with "the blues". I'm gonna start planning/saving for a 2005 trip this week.

Take care!

Thanks for the trip report. Hi to a fellow Mass. person. I live in Andover!
