I wanted to explain why the boys STILL don't know we are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge! Our best friends and their family have planned a Florida getaway for their family during spring break also! They will be overlapping with us at Disney for 2 days. Their kids know they are going to Disney but DON'T know that they are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. They are giving that to there son as his 1st holy communion present. So I promised my friend I wouldn't tell my kids either because she didn't want her son to start saying "That's not fair, how come Matthew and Eric can stay there and we can't" so I agreed to keep it a secret so she could surprise her boys too! My boys will find out on April 13th. That's when we know for sure the kids will not see each other again before our trip!

I just wanted to say thank you to EVERYONE who has posted and shared in our excitement! It really means ALOT!

Hey Everyone!

Well now that the dust has settled from Easter we are moving on to Matthew's birthday! I can't believe my little man is going to be 8 His birthday is Saturday and we are having a Ratatouille/cooking themed party! He and his friends will go to the Young Chefs Academy and make their own pizza's and cupcakes! Should be alot of fun, he is really excited! Then on Sat. afternoon our families are coming over to help celebrate! I will be sure to post a mini report and pictures for all of you!

Well I still haven't decided between the Prime Time Cafe or Yak and Yeti BUT, I did call and was able to get a ressie at PTC at not to bad a time either 6:20 I was thrilled! I have started to purchase some essentials for the trip and have begun crossing some things of the list! I can't believe how close it is........

The birthday party sounds great I wish they had something like that around here there is very limited places around here. Atleast with the party it will make the time go faster!

Thanks Carissa! It was a really nice day! I already got my present from Bryan, it was the new camcorder He made a really great dinner with wine and had the kids in bed and cooked and cleaned up after! Can't beat that!

This was one CRAZY weekend! Besides MAtthew's birthday and parties, we started baseball over the weekend! We froze our buns off out there at the field today!

Matthew's birthday celebration started out on Fri. the 28th with him bringing cupcakes to school! He was sooo excited to bring them! Eric was so funny. Kindergarten here is only 1/2 day so when Eric got off the bus Friday after school he says "Mom, I heard them say Happy Birthday to Matthew at school today, THE PRINCIPAL said it!" He thought that was such a BIG DEAL

Matthew has fallen in love with cooking ever since he saw Ratatouille! We have a local cooking program called Young Chefs Academy and that is where we had his party with his friends.

They had this cute sign out in front when we arrived!

This party was so cute and the chefs in charge were really funny! They explained to the kids about how dough rises and what ingredients they would be using and they asked them trivia questions like how many pounds of pizza does the average person eat per year? What month do americans order the most pizza's and things like that. The kids were SO into it! Here are a few pics.

The final products! Of course BOTH of my boys tried to make Mickey heads!

This next picture I had to take! Look at the paper towel holder on the wall in the back!

Then the kids got to decorate their own cupcakes, they had dozens of toppings from sprinkles to marshmallows to m&m's... you name they had it!

Here are Matthew and Eric enjoying their respective cupcakes!

It was a great time! The best part was I didn't have to prepare or clean up anything! Gotta love that!

Matthew's friends were all very generous, he got a ton of Toys R Us gift cards and the first thing he said in the car was " Can we go to Toys R Us tomorrow?"

We DID NOT go to Toys R Us the next day the 29th (this is Matthew's actual birthday) We had the opening day parade for baseball this morning at 8:30am and then the ceremony. We were hoping to be home by 12noon as we had family coming over at 2:30

We made it home with plenty of time to straighten up and prepare for the party!

Here are some decorations around the house!

We ordered this cake from the local grocery store and it was YUMMY! Matthew picked out the suitcase, he said it looked liked it belonged in the Ratatouille movie! I thought it was really cute!

I ordered the kids these chefs hats! Eric is modeling one.

Here is Matthew with some of his gifts! He got TONS of Disney dollars and has already said he wants to buy the monorail set! Don't know how that baby will get back to NJ

I forgot to post the pictures when he opened our gift...

We got him a Nintendo DS lite he was OVER THE MOON excited! Notice the big thumbs up! He had asked Santa for one but it was after he already gave Santa his list. So he got it for his b-day

All in all he was thrilled and had a GREAT birthday!

Oh yeah.......... 3 WEEKS from tonight I will be walking into the ANIMAL KINGDOM LODGE!!!!!!

I wanted to mention, despite your DH thinking that one time that the house looked like you were packrats, every picture I've seen of your home is lovely. I saw some ceiling and some nicely painted walls and some floors in the bday pics. and not a speck of pack-rat-ness. Haven't seen much of it, but it always catches my eye.
