I was up at 4:00 am to shower, woke kids and left the house at 4:55 am for our 6:10 am flight to Philadelphia. Arrive in Philly at 6:45, have breakfast and head to gate. Now, I'm really getting excited because everyone seems to be headed to either WDW or on a Disney cruise. Our flight leaves Philly at 8:45 am and after a very smooth flight, lands in Orlando at 11:00 am. We head to AKL and are magically surpised when we get to the first toll booth. The driver in front of us had paid our $1.00 toll. Thanks so much for making our day with your generosity.
We arrive at AKL around 12 noon, no wait at check-in. DH and DD got to check-in desk, while DS and I sit by the tv. 2 CM's approach and ask if any kids would like to play Operation or Twister. We decline, but how cool is that?!?
I don't expect our room to be ready, but DH has the room key and SURPRISE!! SURPRISE!!, we're headed to Room # 4213, Kudu Trail, Arusha Rock Savanna. We recieved a free upgrade. Thanks Niesha (sp?)!!!
The room is 1 floor up from lobby, 2nd room from lobby on right. We open room door and 
the room hasn't been cleaned yet.
DH calls front deskand here comes Polio with our luggage. Polio was very apologetic and felt really bad. We told him it was no problem, afterall, it was a free upgrade. CM offered to move us to room #4274, Sunset Savanna, but, we decide to let our kids get in their swimsuits and wait for this room. I loved the view and Polio said this room had a better view, so we head to Mara for lunch. Then, the kids swam, while DH and I relaxed. DH checked and the room ready by 3:00 pm. We go back to room to rest and of course, to check out the view. We see ankole, zebra, giraffe, elkland, cranes. AWESOME!!!
Our balcony looked out toward Arusha Rock and I could see the people viewing the animals from here. If I looked to the right over the balcony, I could see the story-telling pit.
We head to DTD for dinner at Captain Jack's. Then, we head to the boardwalk. DH and DD head to ESPN Club, while DS and I take the boat over to the YC/BC. We get some ice cream at Beaches and Cream and sit on the beach there before taking the boat back to the BW side to meet DH and DD. We stay a little while and then head back to AKL. We are all exhausted from this exciting day.
