Day 6- Tuesday March 16th. First full day at Magic Kingdom. Matthew meets Push. Forecast 71 and cloudy.
Today I woke up early once again at 6:45 to get started on our first full day at Magic Kingdom. Our first full day should have been on Friday, but we got rained out mid-morning, and didnt get to accomplish much that day.
So, I was excited, Magic Kingdom will always be my favorite park, its just Disneyland but on the East coast. And, it has Mickeys Philharmagic, my fave 3D show!
We took the bus this morning to MK, and got there by 8:40. While standing past the turnstyles waiting to get in, the characters and the family of the day rolled in on the train. How lucky to be that chosen family. They threw confetti at us, and in we went.
Our plan of attack was to get Splash Mountain fastpasses and go to Big Thunder Mountain (BTM). We went to Frontierland.
I got our fastpass (FP) for splash and went to BTM. The wait said 5 minutes. Perfect! We got right on and loved it as usual. When we got off I really needed the restroom, so Cliff and the kids went on one more time while I went to the restroom. When I got I out I went to look for them on the ride. I found them on the train and got a picture of them.
They were really on there, somewhere ..........
We walked to Adventureland to do Pirates.
Cliff and Matthew hadnt done Pirates yet, and once again we walked right on. Too cool! Once we got off, we went through the gift shop and tried some of the props.
Across from Pirates we saw a photopass photographer, so we had to go over for a photopass opportunity.
We walked by this photo opportunity, and the kids had to take a picture like Perky Polly (Stacy).
It was then time for The Haunted Mansion, Sccaaarrryyyy .. OK, not scary but we do pretend to be scared for the kids, but they dont buy it at all. I remember the first time they went on Haunted Mansion in Disneyland they were 3 years old. And, as they went on the ride they sat as close as possible to us with their eyes wide open just looking at everything, not quite sure what to make of it all. When they were three, they may have not even known to be scared.
Now they are ten and are too cool to be scared.
We walked over to Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse next.
We had just seen the movie a few weeks before, and Im glad that we did. Cliff had fallen asleep during the movie, so he didnt enjoy the treehouse quite as much as we did. It really is a good movie, Matthew enjoyed it more than I thought he would. After the treehouse Cliff decided that he now wanted to see the movie. OK, honey.
