Must have been one of those high dollar strollers for him to jump off :rotfl:
Seriously, Im glad that he is okay and I hope he gets to enjoy the rest of his vacation.
Ill be watching for a lawsuit though, popcorn:: somehow Im sure it will be Disneys fault that he jumped off

DD9 said right away when we heard it on the news yesterday - DIDN"T HE LISTEN? If you drop something you are supposed to tell the person at the next stop!:confused3

The first thing I said was I see SEATBELTS in the future!!! (DavidR already made the seatbelt, etc comment I see!)

Now the uproar to close the trams will start. Afterall according to some of the CM's it is one of the most exciting rides at WDW. ;)

I'm sure glad the guy is okay, but I bet he rethinks that move for next time. He clearly didn't think about that one.

Don't try this at home!

(Learned when assembling a merry go round for a carnival company in an earlier lifetime, didn't get the job of running it)

If disboarding the merry go round while it is in motion, face "forward" so that as you step off you are going to walk in the same direction. (For Cinderella's Golden Carrousel you would end up walking counterclockwise around the perimeter.)

The conductor (at the rear) of the tram should be watching for this kind of behavior although he might not always catch this behavior in time.

I am sure that the CM at the back of the tram reacted as soon as he possibly could. What do you think, the cm saw the guy drop the stroller and dive for it, but just decided to keep going?

This IS Disney's fault --- there is NO sign that says "No jumping off the tram when it is in motion; especially head first"

That man is completely justified in a lawsuit and should be awarded either Stitch's Great Escape or Sounds Dangerous.

I guess the part about keeping all hands and arms inside the tram at all times, and the part about, if you lose anything, please wait until the tram stops to retrieve it, means nothing.

You know, I guess people are just getting dumber because when I was little, my dad always threw the "dumb" thing at me by saying "What, do I have to spell it out for you?". Well I guess in today's day and age, for some people, you do. But, what does that mean about that person? I know what it means popcorn:: popcorn:: :dance3: :dance3:

I feel sorry for the man and his family and hope he's going to be ok. We were just there and people were cramming onto those trams! also, some of those same people were not waiting for the tram to come to a full stop before jumping off! how smart is that? :confused3 I'm surprised more accidents don't happen on those things. We try and walk from the parking lot to wherever we are going most of the time but we do use the trams to get back to the car at night...we tend to hold on tight. Helen

Proposed safety tram car redesign. On the upside, more people can be crammed in, and no worries about jumping off while moving.

That is great! I can't believe this guy did that! I'm sure there'll be a useless law suit which will in turn cause ticket prices to be raised...sigh...stupid law suites.

Oh well, which late night talk show host has stupid human tricks? They could film an entire episode at the World! LOL

C'mon though... can't you just see the people jumping on the top instead of waiting for that next tram that is 'coming up right behind this one'.... :rolleyes1

I did the college program a LOOOOONG time ago and I drove the Epcot parking trams. You wouldn't believe the things people will do. The funniest (in that we didn't let them get too far and actually hurt anyone) was when a whole family pulled in, left their kids in the car seats and the car running and jumped on a tram. I was on the back of the tram (as the announcer) and reminded them they may want to get the rest of their family and turn off their car. Needless to say, they were pretty embarassed.

On Atlantic City boardwalk they give lessons on jumping off the tram cars, there is a knack to it, he just wasn't thinking, IT HAS TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP :rotfl2:

OK, now the man jumped off to retreive a camera, not a stroller. I guess that makes it ok. :rolleyes1

But what is really interesting, there are 5 reporters listed who worked on this 2 paragraph story. I guess it is a really really slow news day in Orlando :confused3
