Ouch!!!! Man Falls of Tram

Just heard on the Orlando local tv news that a man fell off the parking lot tram at the MK this morning and had to go to the hospital with head injuries. Hope he is ok.

Yeah I'm sure that didn't feel too good. Hey, it's not surprising given the way some of those drivers take the corners in those things. Sometimes I find myself hanging on for dear life.

I think he probably fell off the platform, not the actual monorail. Unless some freakish accident happened and the doors opened up while the monorail was moving.

Hope he's ok!

Sounds like it was a parking lot tram that takes people from their car to the monorail station/boat dock, not the monorail.

A 49-year-old man who reportedly jumped off a parking lot tram at Walt Disney World fell and hit his head and was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center this morning.

The man, at Disney with his wife, daughter and grandchildren, leaped off the parking lot tram after a family stroller fell off in the Magic Kingdom parking lot, said Walt Disney World spokesman Jacob DiPietre.

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. The man was conscious and alert and taken to the hospital "as a precautionary measure" but did not appear have life-threatening injuries, he said.

Seriously, Im glad that he is okay and I hope he gets to enjoy the rest of his vacation.
Ill be watching for a lawsuit though, somehow Im sure it will be Disneys fault that he jumped off

Duh, sorry my bad. I even typed tram and backed it out and replaced it with monorail. LOL The parking lot tram makes a lot more sense than the monorail!

No kidding! Something about how the trams aren't stroller friendly enough!!


Don't they even tell you in their little speech that if you drop something, to wait until the next stop and notify the driver?!?!

That was bright! The man must not have listened to spiel about items falling off the tram and Disney CM's retreiving them later.

I was thinking the same thing... she was probably yelling at him to jump off and get it "RIGHT NOW"... and he wanted to end the misery and tried to go head first...

His wife must have him whipped! My DH has been known to do some crazy things, but jumping off a moving vehicle for a stroller is not one of them.
