Others using your points

I have a few questions about others using your points but am a little afraid to ask with all the talk about renting.

As a rule I would not really rent my points as they are precious to me, however my friend has an upcoming trip and will only be in the orlando area for 3 nights and was thinking of maybe offering her a studio to use ( depending on availability)

I have not really paid attention to any discussions regarding renting because I thought I would never be in that position!

Anyway, here goes....a few dumb questions on how It works:

--When you call MS do you put the reservation in your name or theirs?

--When they check -in do they still receive the "welcome home" packet same as us??

--Do they need our member card?( I hope not)

--Are they able to get the same discounts?? ( don't really care one way or the other--just wondering)

--Any other specifics I need to know??

Technically renters are not supposed to get the discounts but guests do. In reality, they all get the benefits including the 10% discount on UMP which is supposed to be a member only perk.
