Other WDW vets thinking about Disneyland??

We're taking our second trip to DL in July 2014, sandwiched between two WDW trips.

We just got back from our own first in what could be a series of "non-fastpass plus" Disney trips. AKA..... Disneyland.

I saw the frustrations coming with FP+ and didn't want to use my vacation dollars to be a guinea pig, so decided 2013 was the year we would go check out Carsland. We have been to DLR 4 times, but had not been since summer 2013.

Park for park, I prefer DL to MK. Resort for resort, I prefer WDW. It's really hard to compare the two.

So here's how we felt after 5 full days in the parks:

1) I was frustrated by the crowds.
2) I was irritated by how cold it was
3) I was ticked off they wouldn't sell me more than a 5 day ticket.
4) It cost more for a 5 day trip than our 10 day trips to WDW.
5) My daughter couldn't get over the puny castle.

But we were both totally smitten. We loved it and may shun the Mine Coaster to return to DLR again in 2014. We felt like we found the Disney magic again.
