Whilst we are at WDW it will be my father's 60th and we would really like to pay for him to swim with dolphins.

Unfortunately Discovery Cove is just too expensive (esp if not swimming) and I wondered if there was anywhere else, less than a couple of hours drive away?

Have you checked out Dolphins in Depth at the Living Seas in Epcot?

This is from the WDW website:

Splash with the dolphins. You're up to your waist (literally) with these smart and friendly inhabitants of The Living Seas as you feed them, pet them and create special memories that will last a lifetime. Heighten your knowledge and appreciation of these marvelous creatures during this close-up encounter. Come shake a fin!

Duration: 3 hours
Cost: $150◊ per person

Additional Information
All prices include tax. Program itinerary, content and prices are subject to change without notice.

Theme Park admission is neither required nor included for this event.

Admission includes a photograph with the dolphin, refreshments, and a T-shirt.

Expectant mothers are strongly discouraged from participating.

This encounter is in waist-deep water. No swimming or SCUBA diving is required.

No cameras are permitted during this program.

It is the dolphin's choice to participate in the research sessions as well as the interactions.

This is excellent news. Unfortunately, I have trawled the disney.co.uk website and the info for this is not there. Do you have a website address I could look at?
