Other things to do in the "World"

Hi everyone,

I was reading a thread by InstImpres about a Disney Private Event (?), Illuminations dessert reception, and was wondering what are some of the other things you have done while at WDW that you have really been wowed by? And, may be worth us trying them in Dec. as well.

"Cirque du Soleil" IMO is the best show on WDW property.

A HUGE second for Cirque de Soleil. My family loved it!! My boys also enjoyed the Scavenger Hunt through MK. Can't remember the name of it. We did this four years ago and they still talk about the time that they went in the back door to It's A Small World with Aladdin. They went to the head of the line and Aladdin actually rode in the boat with them.

An Illuminations cruise with champagne.Great view!! Parasailing on Bay Lake,Dinner at the California Grill on a night when there is fireworks.There's a ton of things to do at WDW without the parks.

As said, Cirque is great. Backstage tours are always fun and so very informative. Luau at the Poly. Various cruises (Illuminations, MK fireworks, etc), early AM fishing.

We just went horseback riding at FW about two weeks ago. It was fun. We also did Mickey's Backyard BBQ and the food and entertainment was very good. I thought the food was better than HDD (which is another thing to do, great show!). I think we're gonna go fishing on Bay Lake in January. We tried to do that about 1 1/2 years ago and got rained out.

And don't forget about spa treatments. As I told the ladies at the GF Spa about a week ago, "Forget the AP to the parks, give me a spa AP."

Lots of golf courses.
