We have stayed at POP the last 2 times we've been to WDW. What other fairly cheap resorts would you recommend?

Well if you have little kids then ASMo might be really fun for them. And if you have boys Sports is great too. Both are Values and are the same price as POP.

Thanks for the input! Yeah, we have already booked POP for the last week in January, 7 night trip, 8 days. While we are there we are planning on driving around to look at all 3 of the All Star resorts.

The other value resorts are the three All Star Resorts, Sports, Music and Movies. Same services as the POP just different theming. I would say go with the theming you enjoy the best.

we were very disappointed with the AllStars after staying at POP. It didn't ruin our honeymoon, but just not for us.

we loved all star sports. its fun and as pricy as pop. we did all star last year and will be doing pop this year.

Don't forget you get the refrigerator free with the moderates, so if you're paying $10 a night at a value for the frig the price between the mods and values gets even closer. You then have four more resorts to choose from!

I prefer the Pop RESORT to the AS (just the layout.) But because of poor service during our stay at pop, as well as some very LONG bus waits, I will return to the AS resorts. IMHO, the All Stars appeared to have less landscaping than Pop? There is no lake. There is however, a food court at EACH of the three all stars, which gives people more places to go (as opposed to POP where everyone uses the same one). Its been a few years, but the AS didnt have a waterfountain playground like the goofy one at POP. We stayed twice at the Sports, had a very convenient room and would stay there again. I loved POP's resort, but as I said, we had a few issues that will prompt us to return to the All stars instead of Pop.

We love ASMo. We have stayed at POP as well and prefer ASMo. My oldest DS5 was confused when we went in June and stayed at POP because that wasn't his "Disney Home". He absolutely loves walking out the hotel door in the morning at ASMo and seeing the Buzz and Woody icons to greet him! Next trip we will definitely be returning to ASMo!

We have stayed a Music before and enjoyed it. I read somewhere that all the values were getting refrigerators in the rooms soon. Although I don't remember the time frame for this.

Do we have the same boys? :rotfl: When we were at POP my ds looked around and said "this is not what I wanted" I reminded him he said he wanted to try something different he said I meant staying on the Woody side  So it's back to Movies for us.

OMG! My Son said the same thing!!! That different to him was the Woody building! BTW...we also have the same name! Hello Melissa from another Melissa!!!

I've stayed at Pop four times, and ASMu once. Pop is by far my fav. Be advised, tho, that the All Stars are in a different county, so their taxes are a bit more than Pop (by a few bucks). Have a super time!

Thanks! Although our January POP trip is booked, we will be driving around looking at the Allstars deciding if we will ever want to try something different!

:goodvibes Thanks eeyoreiscool I read the samething and posted but oneone would believe me lol now I know I wasnt dreaming. I think they said they would have the fridges in by end of year. :cool1:
