My husband and I are considering purchasing a DVC membership at SSR. This site has been very helpful with many answers. BUt there are many more, including: How easy is it to exchange your points to stay at a non-DVC site, other II properties? And, what kind of points are required to exchange for a cruise?

I can't answer about exchanging for a non-DVC resort since we haven't done that yet, but I can tell you that it is very easy for a cruise.

We set sail this Saturday for a 7 night Caribbean cruise on the Disney Magic. Cost us 388 points for a family of 4 in a category 11. We can't wait!

We have the member cruise coming up this October just for my wife and I.

We have been members for a little less than a year, and love it. We went to Beach Club in May, Boardwalk in September, a couple of nights for my wife and I in Hilton Head for her birthday in October, and now the cruise this weekend.

We have Boardwalk set again for April.
