Other Resort Restaurants & Transport

If we have dinner at other resort restaurants and want to get back to Grand Floridian I guess the best way is disney bus back to Magic Kingdom then monorail to G.F. My question is,will the Disney buses be running from other resorts to Magic Kingdom even after the patks close I know they run form the parks back to resorts for along time after closing but wasn't sure about running to the parks from resorts later in the evening.

Yes you will be able to catch a bus from a park to head back to GF.

Depending on how late your adr is, just figure out which park has the latest hours (if MK isn't open) and take a bus there and transfer to the GF bus.

Obviously MK is the best park to transfer at and you can usually get a bus pretty easy and hour & 1/2 past closing there.

If all the parks are closed you will have to transfer through DTD. Depending on the time of year you are going though figure out why the MK is closed. Sometimes of the year it closes early- other times it is becuase of a party. On party night you will still be able to catch a bus and take the monorail after an ADR. If all the parks are closed and you have the budget for it I would suiggest a cab back to the GF.

They run for about an hour after the park closes.

It's also not too expensive to take a cab back to the GF. The one I took from AKL to CSR was $15, including tip.

No, there shouldn't be any buses going to a closed park. All the buses arriving at resorts are one-way drop off at that time. Your only bus transfer option after that would be Downtown Disney, which is going to take you an hour using resort to Downtown Disney to Grand Floridian.

If you managed to catch a bus back to a park, you will have no problem getting a bus back to the Grand Floridian.

I think you might want to spring for a cab if Downtown Disney is the only bus transfer option.

Not sure which resorts yet as I have'nt finalised my plans.Think I'll go for the cab option after reading the replies I have had.
