Other message bds--Destin area ?

First, I have enjoyed this board so and it helped me plan our Disney vacation tremendously!! I cant imagine where we would have been without answers to the many questions I had.

So with that said, I am looking for similiar message boards for other vacation areas. Right now, I want to look at the Destin area--well lets say anywhere from Ft Walton to Panama City Beach area. We really like Destin or just the out skirts of Destin.

Specifically, I am looking for private property owners who rent out (condos, small houses)--beach front. I have heard of so many people finding good deals from talking directly to owners vs going thur bigger companies.

any suggestions?

Arkiegirl. This is a good question. I hope you get an answer. We are driving to WDW from Missouri and were thinking about stopping for a day or two in Destin. I hope you get some good replies. It would be helpful for us.

You may want to check out Vacation Rentals By Owner website (vrbo). You can look at rentals all over the world. We have accessed this numerous times for the Destin and Gulf Shores, AL area. Good Luck!
