I posted a trade on the Rent/Trade board for 11 month booking at HH. I don't think we'll be able to get in for summer 2006. If this is the case, can you tell me what other months are good to go? We have 2 boys ages 12 and 14 when we decide to go.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Deb

Deb,

We were there for Easter this year (Mar 26 to April 1) and the weather was really nice. We swam every day except Easter itself, which was rainy.

The resort was full but didn't feel crowded. Why not try spring?

We have been to HH in late Dec. The weather has been low 60's low 70's during the day and low 40's to upper 40's at night. The ocean has been too cold to swim in, however the pool is heated and the hot tub is just the right temperature. The attractions and restaurants are open and the point requirements are lower. :sunny:

HH can be nice year-round. December-February may have questionable weather, but the area still has a lot to offer. March-May will have weather ranging from 60's- 80's, but the ocean will still be cool (pools are heated though).

June thru August is the busiest time of the year at HH and everything is in full swing. Ocean temps will be in the mid 80's thru September before cooling off.

Crowds drop after Labor Day but the activities are great thru October due to the great weather and pleasant ocean temps.

Besides summer months, the island draws big family crowds during spring break months (late Feb- April) and around Thanksgiving.

The Disney HH resort itself usually has good availability at 7 months for 2BR villas for all times and for 1BR and Studios much of the year. Summer,Spring Break and Thanksgiving dates are more competitive at 7 months. There are only 21 Studios and 1BR villas and 5 GV's at the resort.

Enjoy!

I wouldn't give up on early June just yet. Lot's of school district's are not out yet, the earlier you can go the better chance you have of getting in.

Thanks Everyone! I still have time so I won't give up yet. We were thinking early June since points are a little lower at this time.

We are trying to Disney without going to WDW so this will be a good option. Now if they would just place a DVC in Hawaii we would be all set!

Thanks Again,
Deb

We went to HH in June and October last year. And I would have to say I think we prefered October. It was still very warm, we swam in the pool and ocean every day, and there were plenty of activities planned. Plus the cash rates are lower, so you could add an extra day or two onto your trip. We are looking forward to going again this September.

Our first trip there was in July- very hot and humid- ocean temps 84 pool temps 90!! too hot for me!
Our second trip was mid April- ocean temps 70, pool temps 85- perfect
Our third trip (just got back) late April into May ocean temps 70, pool temps 85- very nice!!!
We are from NY so we all swim in 70 degree ocean water- that's the warmest it gets here ever on Long Island!!
I would vote April/May over July.
