Other Family Vaction Destinations

I know scandalous! We went to WDW last May with DD 4 and 2, we are planning on going back in a year or two. Because of my husband's job he will not get anymore paid vacations after June '06, so we are trying to think of somewhere else to go before then, does anyone have any ideas?

We have 2 DDs aged 4 and 1.5....we were thinking of heading up to Mall of America next summer for a long weekend. Also, when they're a little older, want to head to Hershey park too. I'd like to hear some suggestions from others, because we're looking for other places to go as well!

We love Williamsburg. We've been there a few times and there's tons of stuff to do in that area - not just Colonial Williamsburg.

Cedar Point is fun, depending on the age of your kids. Yours are too youn for the big coasters, but they do have a couple of nice kiddie sections. There's lots of other stuff in that area, too. We got a big kick out of seeing one of the "Great Lakes".

We also love the Smokey Mountains. We like to get a cabin in the Gatlinburg area. It's beautiful and theres a lot to do - both natural stuff and attraction type things.

San Antonio - Sea World, the Alamo, all kinds of history, great food!

Those are a few of our favorites.

We spent about 2000 goint to Disney so I quess something around that.

Have you ever "done" Chicago like a tourist? There is lots to do there.

If it is not WDW, we always go to the beach.

The Greenbrier is absolutely gorgeous and they have a lot of family activities. Also kids eat free if I'm not mistaken.

Another option might be going to Sandusky, OH for Cedar Point.

A cruise, the beach, Williamsburg, PA Amish country, St. Augustine, Charleston...I remember doing all of those as a kid. Cruises though-DEFINITELY recommended!
