Anybody out there? :)

I have a high school senior and a kindergartener. While the oldest is a little beyond Disney based curriculum, his sister is perfectly aged for activities that are Disney themed. I'm scouring the internet for the best sources, and wondered if anyone would like to share their favorites?

We'e homeschooling here, but we don't really use Disney based curriculum. We are going to work on calendar skills based on time until our trip though and we may figure out distances and such based on how far we will have to walk to go on the rides they want. We will also be visiting the countries in EPCOT as part of social studies.

We've got a countdown chain to track passage of time with special dates marked along the way. We've found some nice Frozen stuff for skip counting and practicing letters, but only a few letters.

123homeschool4me.com has some great stuff (Like a Doc McStuffins pack) but asks that you sign up as a subscriber and link to her site directly to get things because that's how she gets paid. Subscribing is free and you can ask that emails come weekly rather than daily.

We homeschool. DD will just be starting K in a week. DS is older and graduated. There is plenty to learn in Disney but I've never made our vacation about learning. It's vacation and time to spend together as a family. Though I do things at home before we go. Like science is Zoology so she'll be learning about some of the animals we encounter at AK and we'll stop and talk to the animal keepers. We'll get/do a passport at Epcot. I've considered making my own and asking for specific phrases like how do you say Nice to meet you. Something like that. We're going to do a unit on rocks before we leave too. Specifically about geodes. DD loves the one we already have and we'll let her break one open at TRex. Other than that, we do some Disney themed worksheets if I can find them during our regular school days.

I agree. I'm not looking for ways to get education into the Disney, I'm looking for ways to bring Disney into the education! :) Vacation is vacation and WDW will not be about lessons. I just figure between now and then if we're counting, we might as well count Mickey heads and A is for Aladdin as well as it is for Apple. :)

Homeschooler here. I used a bunch of printables and got some great ideas just from searching on pinterest.
