Are there any? I mean, for example...if I check in to a DVC resort, do NOT use my room key to charge ANYTHING, what will show up on my bill when I check out?

Mousekeeping? (Is there even daily mousekeeping in a DVC Villa?)

Resort fees?

Taxes?

anything?

With DVC, you get limited housekeeping (trash and towel service on fourth day unless staying 8 nights or more when you get full cleaning on fourth day) and there is no additional charge for it. You can purchase additional daily maid service if you want more than what is usually provided. If you charge nothing to the room and don't buy additional maid service, there will be no charges added to your bill. In other words, your bill will be zero when you leave.

If you don't use your room charge to buy anything your balance upon leaving will be zero.

Thanks!! That thought just popped into my head that there may still be resort fees or taxes ...Disney always has a way to extract just one more dollar out of my already barren pocket. Good to know.:thumbsup2

Those ".00" check out statements are wonderful.

Does anyone know how much the additional mousekeeping costs?

Trust me- you won't need or want housekeeping. It made me hesitate too initially, but you are at your "home"!. Do you have a housekeeper at your home? If so, you may want to pay for it during your stay. It's not like you would have to do anything you wouldn't do at home. If you don't want to make your bed, don't. It's nice not to have to think about anyone gong into your "home" when you're not there.

If you are not a member, there are charges for internet usage.

Also, some resorts such as BWV that offer room service would incur a charge to your room if you were to order.

Also, some of the events offered in Community Hall have a fee involved that will be charged to your room.

For me personally, I dont care, but we go down with my In laws once a year, so I was just thinking if we stayed at a 2 br villa.

Are they DVC members? I believe there is a resort fee if you go through an exchange (like RCI).

Real dumb question I am sure, so sorry......The amount of towels provided in a room are based on what? Example I have a 2BR villa at OKW which accomodates 8, I would think a 2BR would have atleast 8 towels, am I right? So sorry for the (dumb)question.

There are towels provided up to the occupancy of the room. So all 2 bedrooms are stocked with towels enough for 8.

Sounds little misleading to me. I will be staying at home resort at the SSR(New dvc member:banana:) in November. I would still need to clean the bed linings or i am incorrect. I have the limited service -towels and trash. :confused3 Or would reserving service for bed cleaning be ok. I dont mind cleaning the stuff myself. :confused3

You will have a clean unit when you check in. All of the beds will be made with clean linens, and the bathrooms will be stocked with clean towels - each bathroom will have 4 bath towels, 4 face cloths, 2 hand towels and a bath mat. if you want more towels, you can 'rent" a pack for $6. A pack is same as listed above.

If your stay is 7 nights, you get the Trash & Towel service on Day 4 of your stay (Day 1 is check in Day). Trash is taken out and used towels are exchanged for clean ones.

If you want to wash sheets during your stay you can, but I think most people do not if their stay is 7 nights or less.

If your stay is 8 nights or more, then you get a full housekeeping service on Day 4. That includes a change of bed linens.

HTH a little. Enjoy your trip!

I was once apprehensive about not having daily service. Now that I've experienced it I don't really miss a full cleaning at all. Frankly, I think a trash & towel service every 4th day would be fine, forgetting the full clean altogether. We've gotten use to drying the used towels in the dryer before heading out and that has worked just fine. We do make the bed too - can't stand an unmade one.

Is that correct? You would get full housekeeping on day 4 already?
I've never stayed that long but that seems too soon for a full clean.

:confused3
