Other camping forums?

I use rv.net, too. But there seems to be a awful lot of FW and WDW bashers over there. Don't you think, Shannone1? I've seen many of your posts over there.

I've noticed that to be true. If someone posts a FW inquiry on RV.net the usual response is... "use the search"! If I see it, I usually suggest they check out this site..more info and more welcoming! Same with Intercot..they have a camping board, but never much posted in it. Probably for other reasons..but slow just the same.

You are so welcome ntsammy!!!

The DIS spoiled me for having a place for all thing Disney when we planned our trip last year. I did so many things I would have NEVER known about with out the DIS.

www.Campercommunity.com is my "runner up" for planning my camping trips that don't involve Disney!

LOL....Like I said before It aint me...I just have a knack for pointing out the obvious!!!

The only other forum I post to on the internet is dedicated to Airstreams (www.airforums.com) and is over 25,000 members strong. We have Airstream rallies several times a year in different parts of the country. They are attended by members with coaches ranging in age from the 1940's to brand new. Those that have vintage coaches and motorhomes share info on maintenance and restoration issues. I've been a member of that forum for about four years now and actually post there more than all of the Disney forums here combined.

There are lots of Disney fans there and several camp at Ft. Wilderness every year. In fact, several have asked me to organize a rally at Ft. Wilderness, but life is getting in the way a little too much right now. Maybe I'll organize one for the Food and Wine Festival and/or MNSSHP in 2009.

Ive been going to BuggiesGoneWild a little since Ive been looking for pointers...but Im pretty darn LOYAL to the DIS right now.

I go over there too...they have some good advice if your new to golf carting..hehe...we were going to go buy a golf cart cover for 99 dollars and a guy on their told us to go to walmart and buy a patio swing set cover because it was about the same thing...Oh my gosh, I couldn't beleive it for 9.99 we were able to cover our golf cart beautifully from the rain, it fit perfectly ! :rolleyes1

Good DEAL!!!! They have a couple of lively characters over there, but its not even nearly close to even standing in the shadows of this board.

I've been on RVUSA.com, IRV2.com and RVAmerica.com since we started looking at 5th wheels in 1999. RVAmerica changed quite a bit so I don't go there as much. RV.net and this board since last year.

It seems I used to go to intercot.com for WDW camping but this board became my disney home away from home last year when I was planning our last trip. . :lovestruc I don't post often but online daily.

Hey thanks:thumbsup2 ...that's a great idea! We bought one last season for some $50. dollars or so..and we need to replace it this year. For some reason the hubby towed the golf cart home last fall from our seasonal site with the cover on. By the time it was back at the house it looked more like "ribbon" Was going to pick up a new one for spring. I think I'll look into that patio swing cover in Walmart first!;)

Yea whenever I first read that I was like "yea right " but still wanted to cover my golf cart for cheap :rolleyes1 . Went to walmart and happened upon the patio swing cover really didn't think it would cover it all the way but for 10 bucks went home and covered my whole golf cart from top to bottom perfectly, used it last summer and the cart wasn't rained on once. Was a great tip. Love, love, love whenever I come across a tip like that.

I do love how much frequency the Dis sees. I like to always have the new posts to browse at. I haven't found any other forum about camping that keeps up this kind of volume. And I just love DISNEY!!!!!!!

Hey kiteri, good to see ya here...I do love the other fourm too but it doesn't get much traffic does it ? By the way loved the picture of your new tent !

Yeah, Terri... I just think we are spoiled by the Dis!!!!!!!!! :disrocks:

The other forum gets new posts every day, but since I am a tent camper, and most of the posts are from RV campers... some of those posts don't apply to me. Every post on the Dis is about something I love! Disney!

Thanks for the compliments on my tent! I am so excited to get it! :jumping1:
