Other Campgrounds near Disney

Not really sure this board will have the answer, but is there another campground near Disney that someone would recommend? It doesn't really have to be that close to Disney itself as time will be spent at Universal/Sea World but just in the area.

Turkey Lake is close to US. Thousand Trails is close to WDW. There are also a few KOA's close by.

Other than Turkey Lake they're very expensive.

Why would you want to stay anywhere other than The Fort?

I couldn't figure that one out either. Disney all the way for me, this isn't for me though.

We're doing Thousand Trails in December.

As to why we would camp anywhere else, we have a Thousand Trails Zone Pass, so it's "free" for us. I checked our dates at the Fort. First of all, the only sites I could find left were tent camping. And they were $92 a night. No thanks! I love WDW, but not THAT much!

On 192 is Tropical Palms and Sherwood Forest. Both large and chances of an open site is good.
