Am I allowed to take OTC drugs in my carry on or do they have to go in checked luggage?

DD (age 5) has a cold. I'm taking her to the doctor tomorrow and hoping like hell it won't affect our flight on Friday. But I'd like to take cold medicine on the flight with me if we can.

medicine is allowed--it just has to be within the size restriction and fit in your baggie!

I have never had mine in "the baggie" I have taken Tylenol, Advil, Kids Tylenol, Gravol, plus my migraine medication all in their own bottles loose in my purse and never had them looked at twice. None of these medications were liquid. So....if it is liquid cold medication then buy a small one and put it in "the baggie".

sorry..I should have clarified that--yes-only liquids need to go in your "baggie" ...the other's can just go in your bag-no problemo!
