We just got back from the Wigamog Inn in Haliburton and thought I would write a short review.
We have been to this resort 6 times with our most current visit being during this past weekend.
WOW - We haven't been in several years and it was almost like a different resort. Tons of updates/renovations since the last visit including the addition of second outdoor pool/playground.
During the summer you have to go all-inclusive (room plus meals and activities). There are tons of different types of accommodation to stay in ranging form economy rooms in the main inn, cottages, poolside suites, lakeside studio jaccuzi suites etc.
We rented a two bedroom cottage for the weekend. This cottage overlooked the second playground and second pool. It was fabulous and in much better shape then the cottages used to be in. Not 100% renovated but pretty close.
The food was fabulous as always and so much selection.
Other features: 3 pools in total one being indoor, large indoor hot tub, two playgrounds, nice beach with a ton of non motorized watersports (included) , tree fort in the woods, huge recreation department where you can sign out a ton of sporting equipment and bikes etc., childrens programs, tons of daily activities and evening entertainment. All included in the price.
IMHO: A+++ resort for families during the summer!!!
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. We stayed a total of 3 days and did not leave the resort and sampled all they had to offer.
