OT. Why is the Dis soooo slow lately?

Sorry mods...I know this does not belong in the camping forum but this is home to me! I finally was able to get high speed internet about 8 wks ago and I'm loving it. However for the last week or so my favorite website(The Dis) is loading slower than when I use to have dial up. Its the only site I'm having problems with......is it just me? Or is it a system wide thing?

Wow, I was just going to post the exact same thing, I spent 2 hrs yesterday cleaning out spyware, adware, and misc Cr@p from my computer, cuz my favorite site was as slow as all getout. I am glad I am not the only one.

I second the slow thing. Seems to have been slow for a couple of weeks to me also.

Same here and it's sad with a site this large and popular we have to suffer thru these type of things. I just made a couple of posts that took a minute or more to get thru where before it was like a couple of seconds.

BTW the search function now seems to work somewhat, but I would not depend on it and several months ago it was basically useless.

I've definitely noticed it this week as well. I've been able to spend more time online and compared to other sites...DIS has been pretty slow. Hopefully it's a short term problem

I agree stilll soooo slooowwwww.... I just counted how long it took to bring this box up to post this it 36 seconds just to get here. It usually takes about 2 minutes to redirect me back to my post when I am done.

:::nodding::: took me 30 seconds to get the "reply" box to open.... changing from thread to thread can sometimes take almost a minute. I know... it's picky. But none of my other message boards take this long to move - maybe the Dis is just REALLY REALLY popular or something?

Oh, and I want what *Rhonda* has, if her pages are loading that fast!!
