My favorite NHL team is the Toronto Maple Leafs. So all I have to say is Go Leafs Go & win or lose they are still my favorite team, so I support them no matter what. Lastly to all the Leafs haters out there, don't hate the Leafs because we are in the centre of the Hockey world.

I concur with Declansdad the Leafs are in teh centre of the hockey universe but that universe only revolves around the Leaf fans true hockey fans know better LOL.

GO HABS GO

Leafs - they're the only team I care to watch!

What? The '31' in my user name didn't give it away? ;)

OHL hockey is ok if you want to go to a game on the cheap but after watching live NHL hockey the O is way to slow of a pace to even consider watching plus I am not a fan of the hometown team.

Actually looking at the lineup they have this season it hasn't changed much at all the GOLF LEAFS GOLF will be starting at the end of the regular season just like last year.

Yes the Leafs may have missed the playoff's this past season but they have top 4 defenseman in Bryan McCabage, Tomas Kaberele, Hal Gill & Pavel Kubina. Michael Peca as a great 2-way forward & if he plays like he did in the playoff's, no telling how his regular season will be & Andrew Raycroft who got screwed over in Boston will have a much better year. So I am confident the Leafs will play great in 2006/2007. Lastly how did Montreal do after going up 2-0 on Carolina going back for games 3 & 4 in Montreal? Oh yeah they lost 4 straight & 3 games at home that got them eliminated from the playoff's. Also Christabal Huet will just have been a one hit wonder & will suck next year.

Yep the HABS lost to Carolina but Carolina also happened to win the cup. The comment about Huet can also be said about Raycroft he had 1 great season and sucked the next other than THe Open Door (Theodore) who we finally unloaded on Colorado Raycroft and Lalime have to be the leagues worst netminders. Again yes we lost in the first round but we did make it to the first round while the leafs made it to the opening of Glenn Abbey for the golf season LOL.

As for your D if you think Mcabe is top 4 your are high Mcabe is terrible he does have an ok offensive upside to him on the PP but his defensive side of the puck is terrible case in point the Olympics he cost Canada time and again while he was on the ice taking terrible penalties and blowing defensive zone coverage he was a huge minus player this season. JFJ was on crack when he offered that contract to MCabe oh well all will be terrible again in Leafland LOL.

Mccabe - top four defenceman :rotfl:

Raycroft was screwed in Boston, only after he let in all those goals.

Losing in first round vs watching from home??????

I'll take losing in the first round for $1000 Alex.

Dis the Leafs all you want, the rest of Canada does because it's so easy. However I think they are going to have a good team this year. The rookies from last year will have been more matured, the Leafs won't have Pat Quinn who was always to stuborn & now have a coach in Paul Marice who understands the new NHL. So all I have left to say is I beleaf in the Toronto Maple Leafs & Go Leafs Go.

I agree... OHL is slow in comparison, but it has it's place. If you want FAST non-pro hockey.... check out University hockey!

Yep Canadian University hockey gets overlooked all the time because of the OHL WHL and QMJHL. Unlike in the US where the NCAA hockey is the top tier for them. I like watching the Stangs play and it will be even nicer to see them play at the JLC now.

I think that I have heard this same statement every year since 1967.

So true!! It's great to watch players playing hard every night. With every game important, especially in the AUS, it is a great game to watch.
