OT -When will the heat of summer return?

We decided to spend the summer here and enjoy the beach! Where is the heat in Southern Ontario????????????

When we booked our summer vacation to Texas & Arizona (we went the last week of June and beginning of July) people told us we were crazy and would be miserable because of the heat.

Well.....am I ever glad we went. It was hot, sunny and NOT humid. The weather was perfect and I am glad I got that week of sun.

The weather here is SW Ontario is not normal - it is cool and damp at night and not very warm at all during the day.

So much for the weather forecasters who predicted a hotter than normal summer.

We just came back from Parksville and the weather was great. It is hot here in Calgary also about 28c. It is suppose to be 30c this weekend. I hate damp cold I would rather have heat and humidity than cold and humidity.....It all moves west to east so it should be arriving soon out east!

I could do without the rain but other than that it has been beautiful for sleeping and bike riding and going to the park etc. Other than a few days in July that were just disgustingly hot and humid this summer has almost been fall like and that is fine by me. I can't stand the heat and humidity a summer of 18-20 degrees celcius would be ideal.

but the kids haven't been in the pool nearly as much as in the past. My lawn is looking great though!

My friends could never understand why we would go to WDW in Aug but I would rather spend the money on guaranteed heat...my friend spent $1200 to rent a cottage for a week (plus food, gas etc) and the weather was terrible so the kids had nothing to do and she still had to cook and make the beds!

The only good thing about the weather in southern Ontario ithis year is it has helped keep my allergies away.

The weather has been just awful....we are heading up to the cottage this weekend for a week........hope what you say Karen is true!!!! I want the heat! Bring it on

I have been telling people for a few weeks now that if I didn't have our trip next spring to look forward to I would already have the WINTER BLUES! This has been the worst summer ever!!!

We managed to get into the buildings before the rain started, twice.

i smile as i read this post and i know the feeling, this was us last summer and it really sucked...this summer has been hot in bc, today, we hit 36 but humidity put us at 42...it was almost unbearable...tonight at 10:30 my house is still WAY too hot to sleep...supposed to cool down a litte tomorrow...here's hoping the sun and heat head your way while staying with us over here...
