So I am trying to decide how big to make Santa's list for the baby.. when Santa comes to your house does he drop off 1 or 2 gifts for everyone and you as mom and dad take care of the rest of the list or does he bring just about everthing for your house and you only have to get the last 1 or 2 items???

Just curious how it works at your house?!?

Santa brings the big exciting presents because we don't have the money for those, and we do the boring gifts like clothes

Yep, we got big exciting presents from Santa and more boring stuff from mom and dad. A bike was a Santa gift. A new winter coat, from mom and dad. We usually got a big gift and 2 smaller things from Santa, the smaller things were usually ones that mom and dad said "Absolutely not, I am not buying you that." when we asked for it. :rotfl:

It was all from Santa.

Oops, I mean it IS all from Santa.

In our house we always had a mixture, now Santa always brings socks - it is a tradition the girls have come to love because Santa looks for socks that are very soft with crazy patterns. Santa also brings all the other boring stuff but socks are a must.

Santa brings the gifts for the stockings. Small things like gift cards, books, socks, etc. and usually one bigger thing for each person.

The rest come from us.

Santa brings one gift for each child and then mom and dad bring the rest.

The bigger and most exciting gifts were Santas ;). And ad other have said mom and dad bought the "less exciting stuff".

In my house, all the cool, interesting presents were from Santa, and the rest of the stuff was from my parents.

In our house the big things and most of the toys came from Santa and just a couple of gifts from Mom & Dad. As the years went on, Mom & Dad bought more and Santa brought fewer.

Santa should look in Little Miss Matched the next time he's in DTD.

We open family presents on Christmas eve(my tradition), and Santa leaves the big gift(hubby's tradition) and a stocking on Christmas morning.

My parents told me Santa was very cool so I was new to the Santa stuff. :scared1: Yes, I was beat up in kindergarten. :sad2: Little did I know. Now that I know better, he leaves really good stuff for me. :goodvibes

(Thanks Kevin!)

When I was growing up Santa brought everything. For my son, Santa brings all the cool stuff (all unwrapped) and Mom and Dad give the boring gifts and those are wrapped.

Santa fills stockings and leaves a special gift that the child asked him for. He does not wrap. Parents give other gifts, usually smaller and less expensive and they are wrapped.

Santa leaves one "big" unwrapped gift for each kid and some things for the stockings too. That way, there's no issue with matching wrapping paper or handwriting, more convincing that way;)

At our house Santa never wraps gifts either and he always brings the cool (and oddly shaped packages). Parents give new pjs on Christmas eve, clothes and maybe a toy on Christmas day.

This is a really weird question and hard for me to answer. I mean, I just don't remember clearly. I will have to check with my siblings when we get together this Christmas. We will have a great time remembering our "Christmases past".

Another Santa thought.

A friend has one child, two and a half years old who will be learning about Santa this year.
