I am leaving for WDW on Sunday morning. As in 2 days from now. I have planned and planned and probably overplanned my entire trip. I have been looking forward to this trip for almost 2 years and now that it is here I am not excited anymore. I mean I almost feel like I can take it or leave it at this point. I am worried that we are not bringing enough money, that my FIL will forget to come check on the house..you name it I am stressing about it. The main thing I am stressing about is that I will feel this way when I get there.
Am I the only one?

First of all.... RELAX! And remember that vacations are supposed to be fun. I'm sure you're just stressing out about all the last-minute details, but that's not what makes or ruins a vacation. You can always call your FIL to check on the house, and cash a check/use credit cards if you don't have enough cash.

I'm always a little worried that my actual vacation won't live up to my expectations, too. Once you get there, your kids' excitement will be contagious! :)

No, you aren't the only one! Just wait. For me, the stress stopped and the excitement started once we were riding on the Magical Express. I just think that there is a lot of stress for the one doing all of the work (packing, travel planning, kids on the plane, arrangements for the house, pets, etc., etc.) Once you are there and the kids realize what is going on, you will be excited.

We went last January, and I felt the same way.

Have a great trip!

Oh, you just have the pre-trip blues! Totally normal!! :) Don't worry, everything is going to be ok, and you WILL have a wonderful trip. :wizard:

I get the same thing! Once you get there, you'll be fine!!! Sit back and enjoy the magic!

I get this way, too! I always feel better when I get to the parks. When you are the planner there is so many things to worry about but when I get there, I can relax and have fun!

I know what you mean - I did the same thing last time. It was our first trip, and I had worked hard for months to make this the perfect once in a lifetime trip. I had more invested emotionally in the trip than I realized, and had to remind myself to really step back and enjoy the moments with my family.

this time, while wasting much time on the boards, and again doing my type A overplanning, I am not as worried about the trip. We've been, it was fabulous, so much so that we are returning 2 years later. I know my family is going to enjoy it - I know that if we don't get to see/do everything, we'll make it back again sometime. It's no longer a "once in a lifetime" destination for us which has removed a lot of the pressure.

Have a GREAT trip!!!!

I love to plan!!! I am always a little disappointed that the planning stage is over when our trip begins. I know that sounds crazy...I love WDW...but I think I love planning even better. Don't worry about the details...it will all work out.

I used to get the same way with the pre-trip blues.

Now I just make sure I have another trip in the pipeline to start planning for when before we leave :goodvibes
