I have NO idea what to get my DH for his birthday!!!! He is in his early 30's. Does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks!

Since it's always so hard to get away for some couple time, I try to buy my dh tickets to a concert or show. We ship the kiddies off for a sleepover at the grandparents, go to dinner and a show. It works out better than just buying something he could have bought himself anyway.

I am going to give the hubby a cooler filled with car care stuff... I found it a while back, it's the kind of stuff he uses and the cooler is just the right size for us to use when we go to the races and Disney, for drinks and snacks.

I would like to get him some other stuff as well.......... but most of what he wants (car stuff) is kind of costly and has to be ordered online and I don't do the ordering on line stuff. He is a car guy and in his 30's too!

Good luck finding the right gift and I will keep my eye on this as well so I can get some more ideas!! I only have till the end of the month!

No suggestions, just comiserating!

When one of my hubbys friends turned 40a few years ago, they did a boys weekend in Vegas (between the times of the flights and the time difference, they were literally in Vegas about 36 hours - soooo not worth it to me, but whatever :confused3 ) - the flights were pretty cheap (thus the stupid times) and rooms were comps so it wasn't THAT expensive

Now I think he's hoping for some kind of big whoop-de-doo thing for his b-day??

I have terrific ideas - you know, typical champagne taste/beer budget ideas

A limo ride and stocked luxury suite at a Yankee game
A trip somewhere (Dallas or Miami) for a weekend/football game
A trip to the Daytona 500
A Harley (he swears he would have had one but he decided to buy me an engagement ring instead)

Did I also mention I'm losing my job this fall, so the "beer budget" will be more like a "tap water" budget??? UGH!

Good luck to us both!

At my house we don't spend a ton on birthdays 30-60 max. So some things I have gotten DH in the past are
Sirrurs radio
Tickets to a concert
Tickets to a ball game
Subscription to favorite magazine(Cigar Afficainato or Popular Mechanics)
Dress Shoes
Silver stays(for his shirt and they are stainless steel)
Power Tools
Books(Once I got 6 Tom Clancy hardcover books at a local used bookstore-he loved this)

I would also consider
a Restaurant gift certificate
Certificate to a Mens shop or Department store or Home Depot

Good Luck

Its always so hard coming up with gift ideas for my husband, and his father too...here are some of the things I've gotten:

Tkts to a NASCAR race about 2 hrs away
Playstation game
wall calendar you create where each month has a different family picture
money clip with his initials
arranged a surprise trip to the local Six Flags park with a few friends (he loves rollercoasters)
sweatshirt with his favorite team's logo
magazine subscription
self-made coupons for a variety of things (back scratch...ummm, can't say what else)

Can't think of much else...good luck!
