OT: Weekend to End Breast Cancer???

I am seriously considering doing the Weekend to End Breast Cancer, If I can raise the $2000 required. Anyways, I don't have a team or anyone to walk and hang out with. Just curious if anyone here is doing the one in Toronto?

Have you done this weekend before?

DD and I did the orientation to volunteer last year and DH's uncle decided to get married that weekend, so we could not go. This year I will definatley be participating or volunteering.

I am in Halton Hills. This will be my 1st year doing the walk and I'm so looking forward to it!

My daughter has played hockey in Halton Hills. Quite a drive from me.

I am excited about doing this weekend, I just hope I can raise the money.

Are you joinning with a team or do you have someone you are going with, it kinda freaks me out that I am going alone, I know they match you up with people to share a tent with but still kinda weird.

You will have no problem raising the money - you just have to tell everyone what you are doing!! It's for a GREAT cause and people are so generous!! Plus there are TONS of different fundraising ideas! I am not on a team but walking with a friend. We're not going to tent it though!! Hopefully I can PM now!!

Seriously thinking of doing it here in Ottawa, but I'm scared to make the credit card commitment. Do they charge your card right away or is it a hold like when you reserve a hotel room.

When I called for info they said they charded your credit card $2000 to insure that you raise at least that much money.
