OT-- Webkinz help needed quick!

Hello!

I know this is way off topic -- but I needed help from "people in the know"! My DS and DD both got Webkinz for Halloween. I registered them and somehow the time zone is all screwed up. I read the disclaimer that you cannot change it once you select it. But, I put us down as USA and then when I read the choices I selected the only one that said "Eastern". I thought they were weird choices, nothing like Eastern, Mountain, Central & Pacific! Well, apparently I goofed. We are now about 12 hours off on the Webkinz -- so I feel really bad! The times that there are things going on are in the middle of the night for my kids.

I don't really know what to do. I read the FAQ's and found that you needed to be sure to pick the right country. I went back into the kids registration info and found that I had indeed picked "USA" (I began to wonder if I had picked "United Kingdom" instead. But, I did have them down as USA.

Now, here's the problem with some urgency. I have it on good authority that the kids are getting another Webkinz from Santa. What do I do? I'm afraid if I register them again under this account it will still have the wrong time, am I right? In order to get the time changed, I would have to create a new account, right? Any suggestions as to what to do? I'm not even sure how adopting a new pet works.

I did email the address it said to for customer service -- to no avail! I have yet to receive a response.

I am not sure about all of that but if you adopt a pet on that account it just adds it to them so it will still be on the same time zone. Best of Luck.

My kids received their first Webkinz from St. Nick this year. My DD registered and forgot her username so I had to E-mail customer service and it took them a week to respond. Just wanted to let you know they did eventually return our E-mail, but not in the 2-3 day turnaround that it says on their website.

I'm not able to help much either. I have a friend in California who has an account and he said had no choice but to play in Eastern Standard time when he set his account up. In fact I thought I had read everyone plays in Eastern Standard and it was "kinz" time.

A while back one of my accounts was 3hrs off for an entire week and it simply corrected itself. I assumed it was a computer glitch.

Having two accounts can be fun if they like doing any of the activities twice, hopefully you'll hear back from tech support soon

I remember my dd said her time is 5 hours ahead (We're in Hawaii). I don't think you can change it.



edited to add: I just logged into her acct and checked and it says it's 2:10, but HI time is 9:10, and I can't change it.

Thanks for your replies! I'm still not sure whether I should sign them up for another account to get the right time zone or whether I should just add them to the existing one.

Something interesting -- my kids bought me a Webkinz for Christmas. When I registered it, I got completely different screens when it came to the time thing. When I registered them last month, I never got a map of the world -- it gave me different options in writing only. It was TOTALLY different! I wonder if they were having technical difficulties that night, and our account got screwed up because of it. Because I did notice that since I had chosen USA as my country tonight, I had no other option than Eastern. Then it showed me the map.

Weird!

Oh well! Not the end of the world!!!

Okay, this is bizarre. When I went back in, it had me 12 hours earlier. It's like when it turned midnight, my account didn't change from PM to AM -- it stayed PM. So, now I'm 12 hours behind the actual time. I just don't get it!!!

I know it was PM originally because I did some of the hourly activities.

Oh, dear! This just gets more and more complicated!!!!!!!
