I am very far behind technology-wise. I am absolutely clueless on webcams. I think I would like to get my mom one for Christmas though. My youngest daughter keeps trying to show my mom things through my cell phone when they are talking to each other. Really cute but I always have to explain to my mom what she is supposed to be looking at . So if my mom has a laptop and we have a desktop, I can just get 2 webcams and then they could skype or something, right? Can I just go with cheap ones from Walmart and can I get 2 of the same? What should I be looking for?

Does your mom already have a laptop? Most now have built in webcams.

Yes she does but she's had it for a year or two.

It might have a webcam on it. My laptop is 4 or 5 years old and it has a webcam built into it.
