OT: We are really sad today about Crocodile Hunter!

We swam with the rays at Discovery Cove and they really are very docile creatures.

It seems he was filming a segment for his daughter's new show. He accidentally cornered a bull ray and it got scared and whipped its tail up. Some are saying that Steve didn't know as much about sting rays as he did about crocs and he made a mistake that 99 times out of 100 would have probably resulted in a smack from the tail or at the very most a sting, but it wouldn't have been fatal. It was a total freak accident.

I am so sad about this.

he did alot of great things to protect animals! not only did he raise money! But he taught alot of people that you dont have to fear these animals just be cautious and smart and give the animals respect and distance! he loved all animals and it showed! He was an amazing person to watch!

It is a sad day. I am so sorry for his families loss. My prayers are with those who loved him!
Its a time to show the wonderful things he did and how much people loved him!
He paid his dues for his mistakes.

I couldn't believe it either, that is so sad. My stepson was really into him, he felt so bad.

I was so shocked to hear of the Croc Hunters death!! My boys use to Love to watch his show. We would all sing the theme song together. "Here we go adventuring....where the wild, wild, wild creatures live. Were gonna have a gorgeous, gorgeous...very very dangerous time my friends!! Crocodile Hunter!! Croc Files!!! He will be missed!! Prayers for his Family.
