OT: victum of gross prank

Dis Friends-

I come seeking support and ideas or someone with prior knowledge of why. We had a sick prank played on us last night and can only come up with an ex girlfriend of one of my boys who we found out later has severe mental illness.

But, maybe I am jumping to conclusions and I hope not.....

Well anyway, we went out our front door today to find. seven dead mice had been placed on our sidewalk leading up to our house. They didn't just come there and die, they were in various stages of decay. I don't understand the mentality of such a prank and am really struggling with what to do. I did report it to the police and stated I had someone in mind but, didn't want to "brand" someone without proof. He said if I wanted he could go question her but, I was afraid that if it wasn't her then it would open a can of worms I didn't want open. HELP!!!!!!! this is really gross and maybe it is a one time thing but.....

Kids these days pull all sorts of pranks. It could have been a random act, or it could be someone you knew. You'll probably never know, and that's unfortunate.

I hope it doesn't happen again.

Oh my, I would keep a watch out for anything unusual and make a report of it to the police. People are crazy.

I'm really sorry that happened to you.

Someone played a prank on us last year -- not nearly as gross as yours, though. It never happened again (well, so far!), but it really made me feel bad about the neighborhood for a little while there. It's such a great neighborhood and I was bummed that one of the kids I'd probably known since they were little was doing something to our house.

I hope it's just some freak, passing thing at your place, too. (Uh, that's "weird, temporary thing" not "some freak," although that probably fits, too...)
