My kids definitely do not eat enough fruits or vegetables. We of course would like to have a better idea of what they are eating and a way to encourage them to eat healthy. They are permitted one non-healthy snack a day but since they are watched by a nanny it is hard for us to keep track of what everyone is eating.
I remember reading about someone who set up some kind of chart or cup system where each day everyone started with all the food groups or specific types of snack in one side then moved them over to the other side each time they ate something. Does anyone have a system that they find works? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The kids are 6 and 8. DH and I are more than happy to participate to be a good example of how to eat heathly. We are not looking for anything fanatical but it would be nice to know that they get atleast a couple good things a day.
