OT - Toddler moving on from soft soled Robeez...

We did Stride Rite. But when she is at home we never put shoes on her. Only when she is out.

My DD would not walk in anything but Robeez and the stage one stride rite until she was 2. After that she wore the preschoolians I'm running barefoot for a few months. Now I can pretty much get her into any stride rite shoes. She is a size 5 (at 33 months old) so she can go between two stages.

I really want to try the pedoodles. It is on my list for Christmas

I still put robeez on her at home. I will be so sad when she can no longer fit them.

Wow! My son wears a 5.5 and he's only 15 months old! Your lil one must be tiny

This is great info - I've only put him in Stride Rites now that he's a walker, so I'm going to look into some of these other brands!

Our ped just recommended soft/flexible soled sneakers after Robeez. We went with Nikes. Not the mini-version of some of their styles (like the baby Jordans etc.) but ones made for little feet with flexible soles.

My son is 3yrs and he will still wears his Robeez at times. They are just to easy to get on and comfy for his. I also love the peddoodles. One thing our doc told us is that the sole of the shoe should be flexible. You are supposed to be able to touch the toe to the heel of the shoe. Does this make sense? Take the shoe and bend it in half and see how flexible it is. We have had and seen way to many accidents because little toddlers are in these thick soled shoes (sketchers etc.) and they can't walk in them.

Another See Kai Run wearer. They are great shoes! Very flexible, nice and wide for chubby baby feet, and easy to get on and off. My daughter is almost 3 and I just bought her another pair. She also wears Stride Rite and of course she loves her Crocs!
