OT: Times Square

My DD (11) and I are going on a bus tour and will have 3hrs in TS. I'm not really interested in taking a taxi anywhere, so would like to know the "don't miss" stuff we can do close by. It will be on a Friday afternoon and we will be eating too.

You could do the Wax Museum or Ripleys Believe it or Not. There is the huge Toys R Us, Ellen's Stardust Dinner, Dave and Busters, the Hershey Store, M&M Store.

The King Tut exhibit in in Times Square until January 2011. You can buy tickets online - $37 pp. Just google King Tut New York. My girls are so excited to go this summer.

I was just wondering this myself. There are 12 of us going to NYC to see "Mary Poppins" on Broadway. We're eating lunch at Carmine's and then seeing a 3pm matinee. The kids will want to walk around the city for a while, so I' starting to come up with a strategy!

Did you make ressies for Carmines? If not do so.They do book up( even for lunch) and waiting for a table is sometimes quite long.We just booked our ressies for our trip in August

Isn't Dylans Candy Bar near there? Heard it's a must see, also FAO Swarz, that would be my must go to.

We are going in a couple weeks and my DD11 wants to see the American Girl Store, Empire State Building, Toys R Us, Radio City. We are also going to the Stardust Diner. And Carlo's Bakery across the river in Hoboken because she is a huge fan of the tv show Cake Boss.
