I remember when Corey and Julie were talking about stun guns. Well, my department has decided that Sergeants will be carrying tasers and in order to carry them we have to get shot with them. For my painful nine seconds, I will be thinking of WDW. Hopefully that works.

I'm guessing the same reason you get OC sprayed to carry OC - in case you ever accidently get tased, you'll know what it feels like and won't be surprised/caught off guard by it. DH had to get tased during his academy and when they did the OC spray, they had to complete an obstacle course (I assume most police agencies do this). Watching it on dvd made me realize reason 1001 why I wouldn't want to be a cop!

My brother downloaded that clip as ring tone and assigned it to my DH. So now when my DH calls my brother, you hear...Don't tase be bro, Don't tase me bro.

My DH is a police officer and has been hit with a stun gun during training.

Thats exactly right, its so you know how it feels when 1 of your partners hits ya.

When I was hot with the O.C. (pepper gas) we then had to fight 3 guys in padded suits. Good times.

By the way O.C. spray kind of tastes like taco salad.

Sorry I've been lurking the past few months. My wife had another miscarriage and I haven't really been in the posting mood. Although, all of your discussions is a nice way of keeping reaity off my mind.

That Taser thing, Oh my God did that hurt. Can't explain the pain except the worst thing I have ever felt in my life. However, after the 5 second exposure you feel fine.

I can't relate to being tased but I went to College to become an X-ray tech. They made us drink Barium. I am only grateful that it was drink and other methods were not considered!

play through the pain, walk it off. If you know you are about to get hit, try to tense up hard, that way the muscles don't contract as hard on initial contact.
