Okay, I feel like a total idiot, but I've been trying to figure this out for several hours. No matter what I do, I can't get my music on my iPhone.

This is what I did: transferred the applicable music to iTunes, toggled the check mark by the songs I want, connected my iPhone to the computer, and then went to File, and sync iPhone.

It syncs all of my apps that I already had in iTunes, but it doesn't sync any music. I'm ready to pull my hair out. :scared1:

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong please? Thanks!

hmmmm....

Once in itunes, and the little icon on the left shows up showing my iphone is connected, I click on that. Then I'm sort of "in" the iphone, where I can toggle what songs, what movies, what apps are synced... as you describe.

Assuming you're iphone isn't full, I don't get it either. Just make sure all the right check boxes are on/off inside the "iphone" in itunes.

It asks which music you want to sync, all of it or just certain playlists. After you have it connected to iTunes, go to the music tab, and see what you have it set to do.

Maybe try dragging what music you want to your device? I have an iPod Touch, and I'm technically challenged, so what I do is once it's plugged in, I click on my library folder on the left to pull up all my songs. Then I click on all the songs I want, or the playlists that I want, and drag them over the title of my device. When I do this, the screen of my device changes from the battery/charging screen to syncing/do not unplug. If I have artists that I know I want all their songs, then on the device tabs, I check next to their names for "always sync onto device". Then after I'm done, I click the apply changes/sync button at the bottom.

It's probably way more steps than are needed, but again, I'm technically challenged, and I NEED music for work... :rotfl:

There are two different ways. If your iPhone is set to automatically sync music, movies, etc, then you will need to drag a playlist to the phone. It should then sync the songs on that playlist. When you make changes to the playlist and your iPhone is connected, it will automatically make the changes. If your iPhone isn't set to automatically sync, then you would drag the individual songs you want to the device. Then when you next sync, it will then make those changes.
