Anyone have a good summer sleep over camp for 11 year old girls that you would recommend, in the Southern Ontario area?

My daughter really wants to do a week camp this year, with lots of different outdoor activities, but have no idea what would be a good one.

My cousin eats, sleeps, and breathes Muskoka Woods. She went for years as a camper and now works there every summer. Myself I went to Doe Lake which is a Girl Guide camp and it was pretty good too but I was such a homebody I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I'm sure I could have because I was too busy trying to be homesick instead of just enjoying myself.

This is not a week long camp, but DS11 and his 11 year old cousin are both excited about Planet Kid and their Wilderness Camp at Kelso (Glen Eden ski resort in Milton).
It's only 2 nights for that wilderness camp, but we do a fair bit of camping as a family anyway so it suits them fine. They just like the independance of being on their own for a couple nights away from us. We're just happy to have a slightly quieter house for one night! (DD9 only qualifies for a one-night camp and DS5 will still be with us :()

I second the vote for Doe Lake camp (near Huntsville). It is a Girl Guide camp but you do not have to be a Girl Guide member to attend. Lots of outdoor activities and they have a great beach and waterfront program with canoeing, kayaking and sailing or sailboarding (depending on the age of the campers). Also land based activities including camping skills, high ropes and low ropes courses and a climbing wall as well as crafts, nature activities and outdoor games. All staff is trained for an entire week before camp starts and have completed First Aid training and Risk awareness training. I know that when my kids go to this camp that they will be safe and well looked after. Look on-line on the website for Ontario Girl Guides for information on all the different programs and dates. My kids are going again this year for the 9th year and they still love it. There are also camps in Haliburton (Camp Adelaide), Ottawa ( Camp Woolsey) and Clifford (Camp Wyoka), Ontario. I think Clifford is closer to Southern Ontario since it is near Kitchener. I've never been to Camp Wyoka but since my kids have been to all the other Girl Guide camps I'm sure it is just as good.
