This is OT, but I am stumped...

I am currently on a girls only trip to DC, with Dsis17, Dsis15, Dsis12, DD4 and DD22 months. My Dsis17 mentioned a few days ago that she has mild stomach cramps (sort of like gas pains). She didn't mention it again until a few minutes ago, when she mentioned that it has happened on and off for the past three days. She also mentioned that he urine is very bright yellow. Besides the on-off-pain she seems fine. We spent the day touring DC without her slowing down one bit. Any ideas what this could be? She seems a little concerned with having to fly home tomorrow with it occuring.

It is probably a viral type bug, but.. if this keeps up I'd get her checked out. The bright yellow urine makes me wonder about the liver. High liver levels can cause dark yellow urine, and stomach issues. This is highly unlikely however. Is she well hydrated? If she's not drinking enough that cause the problem, and if her stomach's bothering her she may not be eating or drinking enough. If there are no other symptoms right now just wait until you get home. But if here symptoms stay the same once you get home, I'd get her to the doctor for a checkup and some basic bloodwork. I'd bet serious money on a viral bug, or just an off tummy from traveling. Just followup when you get home if things don't change.

I think UTI also, which is common for some when traveling because they don't drink as much and that increases the chance of UTIs. Try some cranberry juice for a while. It can really make a difference. And push water.
