Ok...In the last several days, I have received about a hundred "friend accepted" emails and several "I don't know who you are" messages on FB. Somehow my FB name has requested that I be friends with a bunch of people that were on my "suggested" friends list.

I don't normally request friend requests...with few exceptions...I am not on there a lot and mostly accept FR that I get...so I have no idea how this happened?

I even "requested" to be friends with probably the one person in the world that I really DON'T want to talk to...I deleted that one...but I know I did not request her to contact me...

I can't tell if it was some sort of error? It happened the same night I picked my username?

I am so confused...

Anyone else out there have this random problem?
And I am friends with lots of you guys, too...I just wonder if you guys have noticed anything strange with FB?

I think there was a program that went out the night before the username thing went live that wasn't the real username program - some sort of fake. Did you maybe use that instead of the real one and maybe that messed up your FB?

oh gosh...

well, I checked it and www.facebook.com/maroo is showing up... that is the real thing, right?

I didn't do it the night before...I did it at 11:00 (Central) on Friday night. :confused3

I am just not on there very much, really. Which makes it so strange?

Did you get any videos recently that you received in your inbox from anyone that you opened with a misspelled title? It was a hacker tool that then would spam people on Facebook once opened, sending out messages to others looking like it came from you.

It looks like your account got hacked. Log in to your facebook account from a different computer (ie work, phone, etc) and change your password. I suggest a different computer in case of something called a "key logger" where it can record what you are typing and could easily get ahold of the new password as well. Then I would run a virus scanner just to be sure. I know it's "just facebook"but we don't want it to turn in to something worse!
