You know you're getting old, when your kids know more about electronics than you do. All right, so here's my question. I have a phone that has Bluetooth capability. Because of this I have had friends and family share some songs with me. I even know how to send them. My questions, though, is how do they get the songs? Is there a place you can download songs? I don't have Internet on my phone. I know this is a silly question, and maybe if I read an instruction manual, I might figure it out. But, I thought I'd ask my ever-so-helpful podcast friends.

Thanks! Nicole

easiest and most legal way is to use something like iTunes, then hook up your phone to your computer and transfer the songs that way :)

Also you can do similar by putting songs onto your computer from any CDs you have :)

Itunes only works on iPods or iPhones. Itunes won't work for OP.

Use Amazon to buy songs if you don't want to rip your old CD's. Amazon has the largest selection of DRM-free songs (meaning you won't have problems when you get another device to move the songs to that device). Then connect your phone to your computer (does your PC have bluetooth?) and there should be an interface that pops up on the screen to help you transfer. If you don't have bluetooth or a cord, does your phone have a slot for a card like you use in a digital camera? If so, load the songs on the card and use that.

Thanks for your help. My computer doesn't have bluetooth, and I don't have a cord for my phone. It does have a memory card slot. I'll do it that way. Thanks!
