OT - Siesta Key, FL accommodation?????

We have decided to extend our next Disney vacation by one week at Siesta Key (near Sarasota, FL). I have searched several web sites and have some info. on resorts/motels etc. in Siesta Key.

Question:
Can anyone reccommend a resort/motel in Siesta Key? Requirements: safe, clean, economical, efficiency with a full kitchen, within walking distance to the beach.

So far, my favourite (from viewing web sites) is Aloha Kai but am open to all suggestions. From looking at the web sites for Siesta Key, I have fallen in love with the area.

I can't unfortunately help with your accommodation question but I wanted to say that you have made a great choice with Siesta Key. If you stay in Siesta Village, there is everything you could need within walking distance: bars, restaurants, shops, a grocery store. And the beach! Oh my goodness, the beach is lovely. Very beautiful! The whole of Siesta Key is very laid back and had a great atmosphere I found. Unfortunately for us, we were staying 12 miles away on Lido Beach. Next time we will definitely stay in Siesta Key.

We loved The Broken Egg for breakfast.

We used to go to Sarasota every spring break when I was a kid - many years ago! We always stayed on Lido Beach, so I have no clue about Siesta Key. I have found a great place for us in Siesta Key for our vacation. Thanks for the tips. We will book it once DH can confirm holiday dates at work. It looks clean , safe, nice pool and is economical.
Can't wait.

Sorry, I somehow missed replying to this earlier. I found the rental on www.vrbo.com. It is a one bedroom, one bath condo unit about 3 minutes walk to the beach. It is in a condo complex called sea winds condos.

We are so exicted about going. In fact, I just booked the last two weeks of Dec 2005 (instead of one week Dec 2006).
